The secretariat of EISC is operated by the European Space Policy Institute (ESPI), Europe’s independent think-tank for space, based in Vienna, Austria.

About ESPI

Working in a non-profit capacity, ESPI:

Promotes European space policy on an international and global level
Provides independent analyses, proposals and recommendations to European decision-makers and institutions
Raises public awareness on strategic space issues

EISC Charter and the ESPI mandate

According to Article 7 of the EISC Charter "The permanent secretariat is held by the European Space Policy Institute (ESPI). The Presidency is responsible for the organisation of meetings and is supported, at its discretion, by the permanent EISC secretariat, who ensures the distribution of documents and the liaison between the different national secretariats of the parliamentary space groups."
